An update – baby incoming

I have a little announcement to start the new year. I am expecting a baby at some point in the next few weeks.

What does that mean for Inkcap Journal? Not much, hopefully. Our brilliant newsletter editor, Coreen Grant, will keep the digest running while I’m on leave. However, due to the unpredictability of childbirth, there will inevitably be an unscheduled break in the coming weeks.

Hopefully, this break will last no more than a few weeks. As editor, I like to be available in the background, and I expect there will be a short period while I am totally consumed with delivering and caring for our new arrival – I don’t want to have to think about any website emergencies or suchlike in those chaotic first weeks. So please bear with us if service is a bit bumpy across January and February.

My period of maternity leave does mean that there will be a pause in features. These will resume when I return to work in July. In the meantime, I’ll be focusing on motherhood – in particular, how to balance the demands of a newborn and a very lively toddler. Wish me luck!
